Colors of a
Rainbow |
|
| A
rainbow Started out as a sign from God |
| A
sign to Noah that the rain had stopped |
| A
beautiful arc that spread across the sky |
| An
arc of few colors to the untrained eye |
|
| Yet,
a rainbow is many colors, betrayed by the sun |
| each
color is different, no color the same...not one |
| Each
color is a symbol for you and for me |
| Like
a rainbow's colors we gather |
| together
at this assembly |
| We
each are a part of the same town or another |
| Sisters,
friends, acquaintances, |
| we
even bring our mothers |
|
| To
some of us this is something new |
| But
we do this every year, it's not just |
| something
we do |
| It may
be near when it seems so far; |
| We
are here because we chose to be |
| The
experience of a lifetime is worth the fee |
| The
we have and the friend we meet |
|
| Some
say to every rainbow there is an end |
| But
we are the proof |
| that
rainbow is a never ending trend |
| Generations
after generations of Rainbow Girls return |
| To
grow together as one to learn |
|
| As
we all sit together in this room today |
| We
look back and see that Rainbow |
| has
come a long way |
| And
we look ahead and the future is bright |
| Each
one of us here will remember a part of this night |
| Even
when we are done and we may leave this state |
| We
will look back and say, |
| "
I was part of something GREAT!" |
